12 Lessons Learned from Carrie Underwood

1. Nobody Ever Told You: "Take off all the makeup girl, shine your light show the world,": Just cause no one gives you credit for how wonderful you are, remember God loves you and that's all you need to conquer the world.
2. Play On: "Play on when you're loosing the game, play on cause you're gonna make mistakes,": Life isn't easy and there are gonna be days that are seemingly impossible difficult. Some days things aren't going to go right...not a single thing. But that's just one day, just one season. Keep marching, keep playing.
3. Jesus, Take the Wheel: "Jesus take the wheel, take it from my hands cause I can't do this on my own. I'm letting go, so give me one more chance,": No matter how far you've wandered away from God and His plan, He will always embrace you in his arms, forgive you if you cry out for Him in repentance. Cry out for a second chance- sometimes we need to be reminded to give God the control.
4. Good in Goodbye: "As bad as it was, as bad as it hurt, I thank God I didn't get what I thought that I deserves,": Remember God has a plan and He knows what He's doing. Even when it hurts and you can't imagine life without something or someone, remember God is only redirecting you to something better. 
5. Thank God for Hometowns: "Thank God for hometowns, and all the love that makes them go around. Thank God for the county lines that welcome you back in when you were dying to get out,": Even though you can't wait to leave and find your own way in this world, remember to appreciate running into people in the grocery store, graduating with kids you went to pre-school with, and the people who raised you. Remember, you can always find your way back home.
6. So Small: "Cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbin', is just a grain of sand. And what you've been out there searching for forever, is in your hands,": Things can feel really big in the moment. Just remember that one day it's not going to to matter who dated who in high school, which girl was the most popular. What will matter though is the people who love you and have stuck by your side.

Then somebody said what I'm saying to you; opened my eyes and showed me the truth, he said, 'just a little faith it'll all get better,'": Through God's grace we are saved. Listen when God uses someone here on earth to lead you back to Him.
8. Little Toy Guns: "I wish words were like little toy guns. No sting, no hurt, no one. Just a bang bang rolling off your tongue,": Words can be used as weapons. They can hurt and leave scars. Use your words to encourage not bring down. Remember the weight and the pain your words can bring to someone.
9. Unapologize: "I unapologize, I meant every word. I won't take back the way I feel about you,": Don't apologize for your feelings. Sometimes you're gonna fall for someone fast and he can take "I love you".
10. Whenever You Remember: "When you look back on the times we had, I hope you smile and know that through the good and through the bad, I was on your side,": Any moment was worth it, if you can look back and smile remembering the joyful days you had. Life's not perfect and neither are memories, but choose to remember the good rather than the bad.
11. Good Girl: "Hey good girl, you got a heart of gold. You want a white wedding and a hand you can hold,": Ladies, you deserve a man who will treat you right. Wait on the right guy- the one who will be better then any fairytale you can imagine. Don't fall for the jerk who doesn't treat you right.
12.  Lessons Learned: "Somethings I wish I could do all over again. But, it don't really matter, when life gets that much harder, it makes you that much stronger.": Take every mistake, heartache, road not taken and embrace it as another thing you learned.
